Juno Awards Red Carpet Party

On April 18, 2010 Hear…by request Professional Music Productions Inc of Spruce Grove performed a double header at the Juno Awards Red Carpet Party.
Norm Shaw a stage hypnotist and DJ, performed as Canada’s Top DJ/MC once again and entertained the thousands of fans lining the Red Carpet for the arrival of music stars. The audience arrives hours before the show goes live and it is up to Shaw to keep them entertained and lively for when the cameras finally roll on the national broadcast. Using a combination of skills Shaw trains the audience for live television coverage. Using NLP and other hypnotic mind control techniques he had the audience under complete control and ensured that they cheer wildly when required by the producers and he stopped them instantly with other preset commands that he instilled. With his cross over skill sets, Shaw has developed a routine that no other DJ in Canada has been able to top.
This was the 7th year in a row that Hear…by request Professional Music Productions Inc was selected as Canada’s #1 DJ company and was asked to perform at the Juno Awards Red Carpet Party.
Making the 2010 Juno Awards even more special was the fact that DJ K, (Norm Shaw’s 12 year old son) a rookie DJ sensation was selected to perform on the Red Carpet as a special guest DJ for Much Music. Keanan Shaw finished as a finalist for the Rookie of the Year Award at the Alberta Association of Mobile Entertainers awards back in January, and is widely considered one of the top young DJs in the world. DJ K performed for 1 and half hours solo for a private Much Music Red Carpet Party and was joined by the Stereos for a 30 minute tag-team finale. Topping off the trip for DJ K was the chance to fly back to Alberta on a flight with April Wine who were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame at the 2010 Juno Awards.
The entire weekend was filled with many challenges to overcome including a last minute winter storm and heavy fog which delayed the arrival of many artists, crew and producers of the Juno Awards and the broadcast media. One artist, Bryan Adams was unable to reach St. John’s due to a volcanic ash cloud that shut down European airspace. Upon completion of the broadcast, many artists had to skip after parties and head straight to the airport to leave the island as the volcanic ash threatened to close the airport.
